WHAT WE TRADE
Over the past two decades, Mercuria has developed a diversified trading business, originally being solely
a crude oil trader, over the years since the early days we have moved into activities that span the entire
spectrum of energy products. These products include; biodiesel, natural gas, power, environmental
products, Liquified Natural Gas (LNG), dry bulk commodities, soft commodities and base metals. One of
Mercuria’s fundaments strengths is the diversity of our operations which enables us to quickly respond
to commodity market changes and developments.
An additional key benefit to Mercuria’s diversified approach is that it greatly mitigates the risks presented
by unfavourable market conditions in any individual part of the product portfolio. Furthermore, there
has been a breakdown of product silos in the commodities market over the last few years which
has increased the importance of interdependence amongst the different commodities traded. As a
diversified trader, Mercuria can therefore respond to the increasing number of cross-commodity
challenges and solutions.
