which includes the role of the Deal Execution Committee and incorporates selection standards,
compliance procedures, and a thorough investment methodology.
Our due diligence process for new business dealings encompasses a broad range of perspectives. As
well as including the compliance status and operational risks of the asset currently, our processes look
forward through the full expected life cycle of the asset.
Mercuria conducts ongoing due diligence of its asset holdings through regular, recurring meetings with
the local leadership for each asset and appropriate site visits and audits. This level of interaction drives
a collaborative approach, encouraging best-practice knowledge sharing between assets across our
group and ensuring adherence to the principles expressed in Mercuria’s Code of Conduct.
OFFICE ENVIRONMENT &
SUSTAINABILITY POLICY
We have a global office environment and sustainability policy which guides our offices around the world
on how to ensure that we are minimising our impact wherever possible. All new purchases and offices
improvements are conducted in line with this policy. This policy reflects and reinforces Management’s
wish to reduce our impact wherever we can.
Mercuria is committed to maintaining the dramatic 80 % reduction in the consumption of paper and
single use plastic we recently achieved. All employees have been issued with personalized re-usable
water bottles; this initiative continues to contribute to the reduction in single use plastics. Additionally,
the move to working with digital documents, without the need for printed versions, is going from
strength to strength. We are also pleased to report that all Mercuria offices are actively participating in
our recycling program. With these measures in place globally at Mercuria, we are confident that we can
continue to reduce our environmental impact on these fronts.
