WELCOME

Chief Executive Officer
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the
latest edition of our corporate social responsibility
report. The purpose of this report is to provide a
detailed summary of the efforts we have made in
2021, across all our business activities, to maintain
the high ethical and responsible standards for
which we are renowned in the commodities
marketplace. The Mercuria management team
hold ourselves, our partners and our employees
accountable for exhibiting industry leading ethical
and human rights standards in all our operations,
as well as influencing those we encounter to raise
theirs. I am proud to share information about our
controls and processes with you.
For businesses worldwide, the continuing
pandemic has often represented great challenges.
The learnings from the last two years mean
that we are now more innovative and creative
in our approach than ever. I am so proud that
despite the inevitable difficulties that came with
constantly changing covid regulations around
border closures and remote working, we have
successfully navigated these challenges without
any major disruptions to our activities in 2021.
The entire Mercuria team felt a huge sense of
responsibility to reliably uphold our key role in the
international commodities supply chain, acutely
aware of our critical role in helping to ensure that
energy and materials were received by those who

needed them, despite the global disruptions that
were occurring.
Mercuria is committed to driving the transition
to cleaner and more sustainable energy. We are
focused on making a positive impact and as a
key participant in the energy supply chain we
are excited to be part of the solution. We have
been working hard on several projects relating
to the future of energy, with input from all our
stakeholders, which has helped to further develop
our strategy to transition our business to reflect
the emerging energy mix.
In addition to maintaining the highest ethical
standards, we are immensely proud to have
demonstrated exemplary health and safety
standards and statistics throughout 2021. We
are constantly focusing our efforts reviewing
conditions for our employees, partners and those
communities located in the areas we conduct
business.
Finally, I would like to thank Mercuria’s employees
for all their hard work in the past year, particularly
for their unwavering commitment to carrying out
their responsibilities in accordance with the high
standards that we expect and champion. I must also
extend my gratitude to all our partners, customers
and stakeholders who individually and collectively
contribute to Mercuria’s ongoing success.
