surrounding areas, and have begun implementing educational and vocational courses for both
children and adults.

Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth,

We take pride in our efforts to foster a positive work culture that
supports our employees’ well-being, growth, and development and
continue to introduce programs that help to improve the health, safety,
and well-being of our employees. These efforts were recognized in North
America in 2022 when we were awarded a bronze-level award for
healthcare by Cigna. Also in 2022, we held a photography competition for our seafarers across
Minerva to provide a glimpse into the lives they lead at sea and build connection between them
and other parts of the company. The initiative was a huge success, and we were overwhelmed with
the response with nearly 1000 entries.
Industry, innovation and infrastructure
Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable
industrialization and foster innovation.
We continue to support the revolution and digitalization of the markets
in which we trade, and we are committed to using technology and
innovation to advance our business and to help the energy transition.
During 2022 we continued our partnership with Rise-X, who helped us to
further innovate the digital delivery platform, ADP, used by Minerva
Bunkering to ensure customers get the quality and quantity of product that they purchase. Rise-X
is now working with us to build a number of new technologies to further modernize our processes
and help with our efforts in the carbon space.
Responsible consumption and production
Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.
Reducing the reliance on natural resources requires increased resource
efficiency and circularity measures. Discarded electrical and electronic
equipment is a fast-growing waste stream that contains both valuable
and hazardous materials.
In 2022, we invested in REEtec (Partner Profile), a Norwegian company
that has developed a proprietary, cost-efficient, and sustainable technology to manufacture highpurity
